This was such a fun session! I love big families, and this one had 4 children, all married, with 3 grandbabies! It was snowing outside, so we did most of the photos in their home, but a couple of them were willing to brave the cold to get some wintery wonderful images as well.

Cambria

December 29, 2012

So my friend Katie is the best auntie/godmother in the world! She took her niece Cambria for an afternoon and we did a secret session for her first birthday photos. She ordered a canvas of her favorite image and gave it to her brother and sister in law for Christmas. I was sent a video of them opening it and it was a huge hit! I love being able to be a part of such a special gift.

When I photograph little ones, I usually try to catch them laughing or smiling, because who doesn’t love a laughing baby? However, Cambria is not a very smiley girl; when she looks at you she has a very intense gaze that is absolutely gorgeous. So I didn’t get very many typical smiling photos, but what I did get I am thrilled with, because it captured HER.

This is another session I have been waiting to share, and am so excited I get to share it now! The main goal for this session was to get a photo of these three cousins together. They were the sweetest kids, and it took a little time and creative thinking, but I am happy to say I was able to catch a few that I think turned out pretty good. And of course both families are as cute as can be!

The Hornung Kids

December 27, 2012

There are a few sessions I have done this Christmas season that I have been DYING to share, but haven’t been able to because they were surprises for either Christmas cards or Christmas presents. I am so excited that I get to share them now! This next week-ish will be a showcase of those sessions, plus a couple last minute ones that I didn’t have time to blog before Christmas.

The start of this showcase will be my own family. We got together with my husbands brother and sister (and husband and kids!) to get photos of all the Hornung kids and grandkids together to make a canvas for David’s parents and grandmother.

A big huge thank you to Heather Miller of Mr. and Mrs. Miller Photography for assisting/making my niece smile/taking the photos I was in.

Josh and Nikki

December 3, 2012

Josh and Nikki are one of the most fun couples I know. They are always laughing, and super adorable together. Josh recently proposed, and they were in town for the weekend, so we were able to get away for an afternoon to the canyon to get some engagement photos. I am so excited for them, and can’t wait for their spring wedding!

The Burnette Family

December 3, 2012

I photographed these lovely faces just a month and a half ago when little Elias hadn’t made his grand entrance into the world yet. He is now here and is as cute as can be! I had a great time doing a mini session to include their newest precious addition.
