Seth is now the third Palmer baby, and the first of my nieces and nephews to allow me to be there for their birth! The first two I was out of town, so it was a huge blessing for me to be there with my beautiful sister in law as she gave birth to this perfect baby boy.

Heidi had a pretty long labor compared to her previous experiences. She needed some sort of induction with the others, and this time she was able to reach 8cm all on her own! It was a long late night, but once baby was ready to arrive, he came out in just a few short pushes.

I am always so honored when I am allowed to be a part of a new person’s very first moments. Their first breath. The look on mama’s face when she sees her baby for the first time. The first cry. I am in awe every single time, and I don’t think it will ever get old for me.

I got to come back the next day for some more photos of siblings seeing baby brother for the first time, and some quick newborn photos. More “official” newborn photos will also be coming soon.
