I love this couple. I have been wanting to do a shoot with them since Brendan was deployed to Afghanistan last year. He just got back home, and we are overjoyed to have him back. Courtney is one of the strongest women I have ever met. As hard as it was for them to be apart for so long, she kept positive (and sane!) and was such an encouragement. Back together for good, I had the honor of taking some photos of them up in Tehachapi earlier this week. I can't wait to see what adventures life is going to take them on together.

February 27, 2012I love hearing people's stories. How life takes turns and puts people in places where they never thought they'd be. How people take risks and have an incredible life because of it. I had the opportunity to photograph 3 families that were being interviewed about their experiences with Family Life Pregnancy Center in Tehachapi. Each story was about a time of hopelessness that transformed beautifully into a story of life and hope. A couple that was talked out of an abortion, and now are married with two beautiful children. A couple that was finally able to conceive in their forties and now have a gorgeous healthy little baby girl. A single father who turned his lifestyle around for his son that he recently gained full custody of. It's stories like this that make my job rock.

February 26, 2012As many of you know, I went to the WPPI (Wedding and Portrait Photographers International) Convention in Las Vegas this past week. It was an incredible experience. I met some well known photographers that I follow, learned a ton, and am so ready to make some changes in how I run things around here. I went with Lindsey of Left Coast Design Studio and Natalie of NYFotography. They are both incredible photographers, and great driving buddies! It was awesome having them there with me. I brought my camera, but did not use it once! It was actually quite liberating. I did take a lot of photos on my phone, so you can sit back and enjoy my collage of special moments from my trip, from meeting Elvis to awesome sunglasses. Cupcake Love
February 25, 2012I went to my great friend Kristen's bridal shower last weekend. Everything was decorated beautifully, and my absolute favorite part was the cupcakes. I am a lover of all things sweet, and these cupcakes were to die for! They also matched Kristen perfectly. She is rarely not wearing pink, and the ring on the top was a perfect addition. If Kristen was a cupcake, this would be it. Inspired by this lovely piece of baked goodness, I will be hosting a giveaway! The Twins Are 2!
February 7, 2012My cousin's little girls are already two! I wasn't able to make it to their birthday party, but they came to Tehachapi to visit my parents last weekend, so we went up for a couple days to spend some time with them. They have changed so much, and their personalities are starting to show so much more. Happy Birthday Jade and Micah! I love these girls so much.
