I have the amazing opportunity to shoot at the Bakersfield Business Conference this weekend. The main event is today, so you may be reading this as I am shooting it. They had a flag ceremony yesterday to start things off, planting 2,880 flags around the field to represent each victim of 9/11. They also had Corporal Wesley Barrientos representing the Wounded Heroes Fund as part of the ceremony. Here are a few shots from that, and you will be seeing more from the actual conference soon!

Carmen

October 9, 2010

Our lovely friend Carmen was awesome enough to model for me for Katie's (my friend/business partner) new products for her Etsy Store. Here's a little peek at what to expect.

Kari and Richie

October 7, 2010

One of my first memories of Kari is in Junior High Science Olympics, working on bottle rockets and being insanely jealous of her gorgeous long curly hair. We have been through the "boys are icky" phase, to the "boys are cute" phase, to the "boys are SO not worth it" phase together, and am so excited for her to join me in the "I am marrying a MAN" part of life. Kari is also an awesome photographer, so shooting their engagement photos was awesome. Richie is an amazingly talented musician, and is in a band, which is actually how they met. They complement each other perfectly in every way, and I cannot wait to be a part of their wedding day! Love you both!
